Planting the Seeds
Preserving the Nature of Tradition
Support Our Annual Fundraising Campaign
Since our opening in May of 1981, Shinzen Friendship Garden has captivated our hearts with its breathtaking beauty and unwavering commitment to fostering cultural understanding and friendship.
Our mission is to create and grow a North American Japanese Garden that engages and inspires. For us to accomplish this mission, we rely on the generosity of individuals just like you for support. Without your investment in the garden, we would not be able to share this culturally significant garden for over 40 years with the community.
From hosting cultural events like Toro Nagashi, Japanese Tea Ceremony demonstrations and the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Commemoration to launching our first botanical watercolor series, Shinzen Garden has become a vital cultural hub. Our garden has welcomed thousands of visitors who came to experience Japanese traditions, learn about the beauty of nature and participate in community-building events. And this is just the beginning!
However, to continue offering these enriching programs and maintaining the garden’s beauty, we need your help. Shinzen Garden relies on donations from our supporters to sustain our educational programming, garden improvements and cultural events. As we approach the end of 2025, we are asking that you make a commitment to support our Planting the Seeds of Culture – Preserving the Nature of Tradition year-end fundraising campaign and help us raise $50,000 by December 31st.
